Our History: A Century of Shared Growth
Founded in Cairo in 1927, the CCIE operates under the patronage and supervision of the Embassy of Italy in Cairo, serving as the definitive bilateral reference for cross-border commerce.
From early maritime trade in the 1920s to contemporary energy, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing ventures, the Chamber has guided leading Italian and Egyptian corporations toward sustainable commercial success.
Today, the Chamber integrates diplomatic pedigree with state-of-the-art market intelligence, customs facilitation, legal-fiscal advisory, and targeted B2B matchmaking.
Governance & Organizational Structure
The Chamber operates under a democratic, transparent governance framework established by our official Statute. The General Assembly elects the Board of Directors, comprised of respected leaders from the Italian and Egyptian business communities.
The President holds legal representation and guides institutional policy, while operational and executive leadership is directed by the Secretary General, overseeing specialized departments, staff, and bilateral relations.
